Dear Friends,

Amazingly, in just three months we will celebrate the fourth annual Global Love Day on Tuesday, May 1, 2007. This year we will see the most remarkable opportunity to embrace love, unity, tolerance and diversity on a planetary scale - together we are building a new world founded on unconditional love. We are already receiving reports of planned events that will be hosted around the world, so let us know what you are inspired to do on this day too!

We began this initiative a little over three years ago and to date, we have individuals and organizations from over 95 countries that have responded to the idea and the list continues to grow. We now have 23 wonderful volunteer country, regional and field coordinators sharing the vision in their nations and beyond. Our flyers are available (and printable from our web site) in 20 languages and with over 77 proclamations from governors, mayors and city councils already, we anticipate many more communities adopting May 1st as a celebration of humanity everywhere. Our web site is updated daily to keep you informed of our progress.

The related fourth annual Art, Essay and Poetry Invitational is once again open to "children of all ages" so both student and adult can participate. The post mark cut-off date this year for submissions is March 31, 2007. Entries have already started coming in and they are truly remarkable. The young of heart today understand it is time for global unity and love. We look forward to sharing the Finalist awards with you in mid May.

Be a part of it - spread the word. You can forward this email, call or write to your friends, family, community, corporations, governments and media to announce this event. Please consider contacting your mayor, governor, or elected officials and encourage them to create a proclamation (see sample) embracing Global Love Day. We gratefully accept your time and effort. As a 501(c) 3 corporation we are a tax deductible charity if you would prefer to assist in this way.

Also new this year is the book Unconditional Love - An Unlimited Way of Being by TLF Founder, Harold W. Becker. In it, Harold shares the practical, simple and useful approach to unconditional love. This timely presentation assists anyone to better understand how they can apply this universal love in their daily life. It is available through our web site or your favorite retailer and a portion of the proceeds benefit The Love Foundation.
